The Postcode Address File, or PAF, is the most up-to-date and complete address database in the UK, containing over 27 million addresses.

Managed by the Royal Mail and a requirement for postage discounts such as MailSort and CleanMail, PAF matching is the simplest electronic cleansing you can run on your data. A PAF match will ensure recognised addresses contain a correct postcode and all the address items required by the Royal Mail to ensure rapid delivery.

Our Telephone Number Verification service can be used to locate new or additional telephone numbers for companies within your database.

The service is based on the OSIS file which is used by directory enquiry services and updated many times per day. Where there is a match with a record from your database we can do one of the following:

• - Mark the number you have as correct
• - Replace the number you currently have if incorrect
• - Provide a telephone number where your record is blank

We will also append additional telephone numbers for the same organisation where available.

Contact Appending

The file is maintained by the Royal Mail and is made up of individuals who have registered a forwarding address for their mail and not opted out of having their details passed to marketing organisations. Matching your database against the NCOA file will provide you with a new address for individuals where available, helping you keep in touch with your most valuable of assets - your customers.
