Telephone Preference Service

The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is designed to protect individuals and companies that do not want to be contacted by call centres for marketing purposes. Unsolicited contact of TPS registered numbers is illegal and can land your company with a maximum fine of £5000 per registered number called.

We can match your telephone numbers against the TPS and Corporate TPS registers and flag the numbers of registered individuals or companies.

Mail Preference Service

The Mailing Preference Service (MPS) is a data file of consumers or businesses who have registered their wish not to receive unsolicited advertising material by mail and is managed by the Direct Marketing Association.

Matching an address list against the MPS is currently voluntary but it is viewed as best practice to screen any mailing files against this service to reduce the level of annoyance from direct mail. Also as MPS registered individuals and companies are unlikely to respond to direct mail it can significantly reduce your mailing costs.

We can match your address lists against the MPS register and flag the addresses of registered individuals or companies.

Fax preference Service

The Fax Preference Service (FPS) allows individuals or companies to register numbers they don't want to be targeted with unsolicited faxes containing sales or marketing material.

We can match your list of fax numbers against the FPS registers and flag the numbers of registered individuals or companies.

Business Goneaways

We offer Business Gone-Away suppression at two levels. Firstly, at Company level - where complete companies have moved or shut down, we can help to identify these records on your database, using a number of Industry standard suppression files. Secondly SASDATA.co.uk can identify individuals at existing companies who have moved away from that business allowing you to make efforts to identify the appropriate new contact in that role. We also offer a contact appending service which can help you locate new employees within particular roles.

GoneAway matching is charged per GoneAway located within your data. The more information you provide on a company and it's employees the more confident you can be in the results of the match. SASDATA.co.uk can run a free health check on your data and provide you with an indication of how much going ahead with the service will cost and how many gone away flags you can expect.

How does it work?

Preference service matches are made by comparing records in your database against lists of companies or individuals who have registered their details with the relevant Preference Service. Matching records can be flagged or removed from your list before we return them to you.
